A woodfired smoker is a slow cooking grill that heats up using different types wood. You can regulate the speed of the cooking using softwoods or hardwoods but apart from that it can be hard to regulate for newbies and those living in urban areas.

This bacon grilling technique tends to work quite nicely, but is, frankly, hazardous. The bacon was removed from the flames promptly and was delicious, if I recall. Everyone in the 4th photo is making a funny face.
